More commonly, wormwood sticks of various sizes—cigar, mini, and micro moxa—are specifically used for heating. Moxibustion is applied until a prolonged and deep heat sensation appears at the corresponding points or regions.
Wormwood cigars are very useful for heating the hand and foot areas in the standard matching system. It allows for rapid heating at many matching points.
